Sweet Sketch Wednesday 224 and Digi Stamp Boutique

Happy Wednesday everyone!  It's Joanna, your hostess from soggy Colorado hosting this week. I know that you've probably heard about our crazy weather but I thought that I would share some photos with you

This is Boulder, home of the University of Boulder, the largest University in Colorado.  The heavy rain forced it to close.  Boulder County was one of the hardest hit.

This is Broomfield, a town near Denver, our capital.  Roads washed out and homes were flooded.

This is highway 34 near Estes Park. Weather forecasters are saying that our 11+ inches was half a year's rain, in three days.  Good heavens that's a "lotta" rain.

This is an over-loaded sewer/geyser in Manitou Springs, near where I live.

But enough about our wet weather, let's get started this week by announcing the winners of last week's A Day For Daisies challenge....

our Grand Prize winner is

AJ #2
Congratulations!

A big congratulations to all the winners from last week.

If you are new to Sweet Sketch Wednesdays a BIG welcome to you!  For those who are returning, we are thrilled to see you back.  We can't wait to see what you do with this week's sketch.

And speaking of Arlana's sketch, it's a classic rewind from July of 2011.  We'd love for you to take a look to see how the designers of yesteryear handled it.

This week we are sooo happy to be able to welcome back Sally-Ann from Digi Stamp Boutique.  She has been our faithful monthly sponsor for many years and we are always excited to use her images.

All images/designs are created and copyright owned by Sally-Ann Hancock.  My work means the world to me - it allows my passion to draw and create, to fit with my family life - often the inspiration for my designs.  Hope you enjoy as much as I enjoy creating.

Sally-Ann is generously providing a prize of 6 free digi images to the winner. Nice!

If you still need some inspiration, take a look to see what our lovely and VERY talented Design Team did this week.

Congrats to AJ and the top 3. It looks like the curtain scared a few off last week but I hope that this week is a little more favourable to our regulars and hopefully newcomers - I certainly had fun with it anyway.

  4. Hi everyone wow Joanna I saw it on our news and I wondered how you were and coping with all that rain. Those photo's are amazing. Isn't it sad to see that our weather patterns over the 10-15 years have changed so much especially with all the rain, winds, snow and flooding countries have been getting and the devastation that leaves for people to clean up and restart their lives and businesses again. Congratulations to AJ our winner this week and to our Top 3 cards awesome work ladies. It's sad to see that if our followers think that the sketch could be hard they won't try it. For goodness sake please try and give things ago don't get discouraged as you might surprise yourselves. Never never give up life isn't easy. I sound like I'm speaking to my boys and giving them a talking to about life. Thank you to Sally-Ann once again for being our wonderful loyal sponsor which is just so appreciated by all of us over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday. Thanks to Joanna for a great posting and I do hope your not water logged and to Arlana for revisiting this sketch. Take care everyone and I'll see you all again in 3 weeks time. Happy crafting and surprise yourselves. Have fun.
    Hugs

  20. Looks like you have had a really rough time with that weather. A big clean-up operation will no doubt be needed too. Hopefully you have a good sense of community there and everyone is pulling together and helping each other out. Thanks for another great sketch this week. I have gone with a nice cheerful summery birthday card.
